Rush Holt Town Hall in Marlboro, New Jersey

Stop Socialism Fire Holt '10I Like MikeLet's Keep US Free Not SocialistDump Rush Holt 2010

I didn’t really think there was a point to go to Holt’s Town Hall Meeting last night. After all, I’ve communicated to him, or tried to anyway, many times, telling him my views on the current issues; on the economy, healthcare, cap and trade, just to name a few. He always wrote back and updated me with his voting record. It was always opposite of how I wanted him to vote.  After awhile I feel he just does what he wants to do anyway, what’s the point in meeting him? In the past I have traveled far and made efforts to join fellow Americans in expressing our opposition to Obama and Washington policies. At this point I feel my energy will focus on trying to get my voice heard by helping the best candidates I can find and voting on Election Day. But Marlboro was too close to me not to attend.

Rush Holt was exactly how I anticipated. He’ll tell you that he wants to hear from his constituents, but he has no desire in really listening to us. He treated the audience as if we were in third grade. Holt talked on and on not answering the questions and not even trying to hear his constituents. At first, he didn’t even allow any followup questions. Even children know when their questions are not answered and when they are lied to. So it goes without saying that as adults we know when we are disrespected.

My husband wanted to ask about the fact that more New Jerseyians are moving out of New Jersey than into New Jersey and what plans does he have to remedy this problem. Also, given the current climate of dissatisfaction with our elected officials, would he suggest legislature for term limits. His questions were not chosen to be answered. I’m sure I’ll be getting correspondence from him and I’m sure he won’t have an answer for it.

Often people ask why their representatives would keep spending money America does not have. They ask why they voted for cap and trade and the healthcare bill. Representative Rush Holt always has a spin on these answers making it look like what he voted for will work and has worked for us Americans.

Instead of asking our elected officials why they keep spending money and why they keep passing these bills, WHY DON’T WE JUST TELL THEM.

They have an agenda and it’s called government control. They know best how to spend our money. Even if we get to the point when even a smaller minority of us are still working, we will be supporting everyone who doesn’t work all under the disguise of “fairness”.  Conveniently, at the same time, our elected officials will be voted back in term after term because most citizens will depend on the government and they need to keep their representative in office who makes it possible for them to survive.

It was nice to meet neighbors that have similar views as I do and I look forward to joining you all in supporting Mike Halfacre.

The Ultimate Control

Health Insurance, Obama, Obamacare, government control, healthcare plan No Comments

Sweetness & Light has an article that simply explains why government will have ultimate control over our lives if the government health care bill gets passed.

Additionally, here’s a great comment on this post:

Excellent summary of the House Death Care Bill:

A few items that caught my eye:

- Sec. 123, Pg. 30 – THERE WILL BE A GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE deciding what treatments and benefits you get.
- Sec. 152, Pg. 50-51 – HC will be provided to ALL NON-US citizens.
- Sec. 163, Pg. 58-59 beginning at line 5 – Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances & a National ID health care card will be issued!
- Sec. 164, Pg. 65 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions & community organizations (ACORN).
- Sec. 205, Pg. 95, Lines 8-18 – The government will use groups (i.e., ACORN & AmeriCorps) to “inform and educate” (sign up) individuals for government plan.
- Sec. 223, Pg. 124, Lines 24-25 – No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No “administrative of judicial review” against a government monopoly.
- Sec. 225, Pg. 127, Lines 1-16 – Doctors – the government will tell YOU what you can make. “The Secretary shall provide for the annual participation of physicians under the public health insurance option
- Sec. 401.59B, Pg. 167, Lines 18-23 – ANY individual who does not have acceptable care, according to government, will be taxed 2.5% of income.
- Sec. 59B, Pg. 170, Line 1 – Any NONRESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay for their health care.)
- Sec. 1156, Pg. 317, Lines 13-20 – “PROHIBITION on physician ownership or Investment.” Government tells doctors what/how much they can own.
- Sec. 1308, Pg. 489 – The government will cover Marriage and Family therapy. This will involve government control of your marriage.
- Sec. 1401, Pg. 503, Lines 13-19 – The government will build registries and data networks from YOUR electronic medical records. “The Center may secure directly from any department or agency of the United States information necessary to enable it to carry out this section.”
- Sec. 1501 (beginning), Pg. 659-670 – Doctors in Residency – government will tell you where your residency will be, thus where you’ll live.
- Sec. 1651, Pg. 734, Lines 16-25 – Proposes, for law enforcement sake, that the Secretary of HHS will give Attorney General access to ALL medical data.Sec. 440, Pg. 837-839 – The government will design and implement Home Visitation Program for families with young kids and families that are expecting children.
- Sec. 1904, Pg. 843-844 – This Home Visitation Program includes the government coming into your house and teaching/telling you how to parent!
- Sec. 2251, Pg. 915 – Government MANDATES cultural and linguistic competency training for HC professionals

That’s just a sample.

Beyond stunning.

“I Honestly Don’t Get It”

Health Insurance, Obama, freedom of speech, government control, healthcare plan No Comments

According to today’s Yahoo News Article they are not getting it. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania appreciates people’s right to freedom of speech, and he said we even have a right to be organized, but according to him, this is not the majority in America.  That’s very convenient of him to address these issues. He is saying, “I hear you, it’s ok to talk, but really what you say means nothing because I choose to believe that you are not what most of us want.” Nice strategy for a politician. Did he learn that in the Democrat’s war room? If this is really what everyone wants and it is so popular, why is there a war room to help them come up with answers to these questions? How much credibility does this man have after changing parties on his constituents.

I particularly love the reaction of Claire McCaskill of Missouri. “I don’t understand this rudeness. I honestly don’t get it.” She spoke to the crowd as a mother scolding her children and she even spelled it out and plainly said it. She is not our mother. We are adults.

What do you think of Obama’s Town Hall meeting? I didn’t see the whole thing, but I believe it was quite orderly and too quiet. Is there anything this man does that is not staged? Will this campaign ever end? Michelle Malkin, as always, has a great article showing Obama’s human props. Take a look at Bulletprof Diction for some great information on this.

No, I am sorry to say they honestly don’t get it. The only thing that will hit home will be too late. Vote them out.

North Arlington New Jersey Trying To Close the Door on Government Control

Health Insurance, Obama, government control, healthcare plan, town hall meetings 1 Comment

Because I was late attending the North Arlington, New Jersey Town Hall Meeting yesterday and because the meeting was filled to capacity, I needed to wait outside  with some other concerned citizens. Most were your average citizens, all with their own stories. It seemed like we all held similar concerns, similar beliefs, and similar frustrations. Also, there were a few that carried professional looking signs in favor of healthcare reform. I was told that in small print was printed “moveon.org”. They were clearly the minority.

I keep thinking that if (or actually, when) this bill or a revised bill on healthcare gets passed there is an open door. A door open for government control over our individual liberties. Perhaps they will make revisions and  tell us that government will not be the only option in providing health care insurance, or we will have the choice to go to our preferred doctors, there will not be any rationing and we won’t have to kill off those that do not contribute to society. Perhaps they will. Just as Steve Rothman of New Jersey promised, he will not sign a bill with these controls. But it was obvious that he wants to sign a healthcare bill.

Even if they do that and create a bill that grants no controls at all (actually I don’t see how this is possible, but I’ll give my skeptics the benefit of the doubt), the door is open. Open for slight adjustments as time allows.

Not to bring religion into this, but there is a critical time in the Jewish calendar. God opens the Book of Life and Death. A time when it is decided who shall live and who shall die in the coming year. This critical time is for ten days. And we recite how those chosen will die: “who by fire, who by water, who in the sunshine, who in the night time”. And it goes on and on. But, never in one’s wildest dreams would we imagine reciting “who by government control”.

Perhaps you don’t believe in a higher force that controls who lives and who dies. Perhaps I’m going a little overboard in this comparison, but the door is open at this time in our history. Our government is in crisis mode pushing through reforms as quickly as possible. The fact that we are even asking and debating, and they are trying to coverup their intentions and trying to answer these questions shows that our government is trying to control our lives. It’s our job to use this time to present the case that we don’t want these controls over our lives and perhaps controls over our death.

The Psychology of Mr. Obama the Salesman

Health Insurance, Obama, domestic policy, government control, healthcare plan, politics No Comments

Mr. Obama loves to talk to the American people as if we are young children. He talks slowly, carefully choosing his words, not to offend anyone and making sure we understand the subject matter enough. But most importantly, he talks slowly so we feel comfortable and we trust him. Trust is the key word. Trust a politician. I believe the American voters go into the voting booth with that in mind. Who can I trust the most out of the choices presented to me? That’s what I do.

After explaining carefully and slowly, Mr. Obama is always playing the fear card. The catastrophe card. There’s an urgency that he is selling. And he is always selling. Being around sales people my whole life I am attuned to the devices used. He claims to know us very well and all that we are dealing with and then of course presenting us a solution that will solve all our problems. Just rely on Mr. Obama. Just leave it all to him and we will have health, wealth, and happiness.

And after his whole song and dance sometimes he likes to admit that he doesn’t know all the small, unimportant details of what he is selling. After all he is only the president, the details are for the workers, advisors, committees to fine tune. This gives him an opportunity to show that he is actually human. It gives the American people an opportunity  to find him even more credible and more comfortable with him and his decisions. After all, he is not God, he is the President.

Just to put the icing on the cake, there is always the race card. It’s the guilt trip that underlies in the background. We play into the guilt, just like five year olds do. We really screwed up in the past and no one will ever forget it. Not only that, there are many angry people that will not get over it. Ever. Along with this guilt is also the fear. The fear that if we don’t listen to him there’s a substantial African American population (and now he’s adding latino Americans) just waiting for us not to listen to him and perhaps, even treat him badly. The first black President. How could we! That could be fatal to us all.

It’s interesting how he’s adding Latino Americans to this. Just making sure we bring Sotomayer into this and the fact that this is the group of people growing faster than any other. Additionally, I’m sure there’s a substantial number of latinos that don’t have health insurance. Just keep in mind, this is one of the groups that will help him win the next election. And he will. This group is actually substantial in looking at his target market.

Of course the media has been sold from the beginning. They are part of the staging of his press conferences. The questions, the commentary, the lack of questioning his numbers and his details. They have their jobs to think about. They will not treat him badly. They are in the same boat as the rest of us, except they are in the public eyes and all can see them.

Just to recap. He sells comfort, security, urgency, fear, and always guilt. Sometimes the guilt is not spoken, but it is always there.

I was thinking that we need the American people to wake up, but really we need the American people to grow up.

Who’s at Fault? Who’s to Blame? = BARNEY FRANK

Barney Frank, government control, politics, sub prime housing No Comments

No,No, No, No, not me, says Massachusetts,  Barney Frank. He doesn’t protest too much. Yes. Barney Frank is to blame for the sub prime housing bubble. After all the facts are gathered, all the lies, rebuttals are vanquished. The cold hard truth points its finger in certain conclusion at  Barney Frank. Starting in the early 1990’s, Rep. Barney Frank and (other democrats) stood in the way of  the regulators, Congress, and the White House’s efforts to control the runaway housing market  and get it under tighter regulation. Frank in 2002 and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and again in 2003, led by Barney Frank, stood as a bloc against any changes, that President Bush was advocating to make to Fannie and Freddie. Today Frank will deny the facts to anyone who will listen to his twisting and turning, and spinning of the truth. But the verdict is in and the results are that the current situation is ominous with foreclosure filings jumping to a record 1.9 million on properties in the first six months of the year. With solutions to this weighty problem being meager and geared to saving the face of our elected officials, it appears that this elephant of a crisis has no chance of being rectified in the near term.

The Glenn Beck Letter to Our Nation’s Leadership

Obama, bailouts, domestic policy, government control, politics, transparency No Comments

This letter hits home. Please read it.

GLENN: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation’s leadership: I’m a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you’re willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:
One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I’m not a racist. This isn’t to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don’t you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don’t you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don’t trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we’ll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let’s have it. Let’s say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let’s just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I’m busy. I’m busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don’t want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we’re morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we’re so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn’t ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don’t care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

That pretty much sums up a few issues. The only problem I have with it is the fact that this lady was always a Democrat. I can’t see how people put themselves in tight places and then after people’s actions want to get out. I’d rather believe in individual freedom.

I sent a version of this to Mr. O and my representatives, hopefully they won’t be knocking on my door and take my first born.

Obama’s State-Run Media

Obama, government control, healthcare plan, media No Comments

ABC News reporting from the White House will exclude opposing voices on the  June 24th town hall national debate. This will in effect be an infomercial and not a debate. The promises of  bipartisianship and transparency by the Obama Administration is once again promises that are campaign fabrications.

To keep the discussion straight and simple, please promote a health care plan which our government officials and their families will be required to hold and repel all existing government health insurance policies that they are currently awarded for life.

Dare I Say, “Godly Obama”

Obama, government control, politics No Comments

God and Obama was referenced today on Rush’s show. I made this analogy back when Obama took his Godly photo-op.  Air Force One high above the Statue of Liberty. It was very clear the symbolism that this photo was intended to portray.

Newsweek, Evan Thomas, actually called Obama God. This is good news, because we need to sit back and let these comments come out in the open. If anyone is listening perhaps they will come to their senses and see what is going on. The country is run by Obama and his Czars without restrictions.

If Evan Thomas is talking about Obama as “above” America and portraying him as “God”, the $328,835 photo was well worth the money. Obama’s PR firm is doing a great job, whoever they are. Mr. Thomas, what is wrong with Reagan talking about America’s greatness? Personally, I just can’t wait for change.
